Samsung Galaxy S24 One UI 7 beta introduces unexpected enhancements to video recording capabilities.

One UI 7 Beta 5 has been launched for the Galaxy S24 in select regions, marking a significant step for Samsung’s flagship device in 2024. This latest firmware update addresses various bugs and introduces the March 2025 security patch. Notably, it brings the LOG video recording feature to both the regular S24 and S24+ models. Galaxy S24 owners have experienced a long and often frustrating wait for Android 15.

Following a prolonged delay, Samsung initiated beta testing for One UI 7 in early December. Since that time, three additional beta versions have been released, with the final public version anticipated in April. The most recent beta, designated as the fifth iteration, aims to resolve most remaining bugs. Currently, One UI 7 Beta 5 is available for download in several countries, including India, South Korea, Poland, the UK, and Germany.

The update, identified by the ZYB6 firmware designation, has a file size of approximately 975MB and comes packed with bug fixes alongside the March 2025 security enhancements. The beta program is also active in the United States, with the new build expected to be released for eligible devices there later today. Samsung’s changelog for this update outlines new features and fixes. Most notably, the update introduces the Samsung Log function for video recording on both the S24 and S24+.

Numerous bugs have been addressed as well, including display errors, notification issues, and problems with the Gallery’s edit button. Given the comprehensive fixes included in this latest build and its timing, this might be the last beta version of One UI 7 for the Galaxy S24. Unless significant issues arise, Samsung is likely to move forward towards a stable release next month. Users interested in the update can easily find it through the Settings menu under Software update.
