The Pixel 9a was recently in the spotlight when a German retailer briefly listed it for sale, revealing a price of €549. Additionally, an unofficial listing from the UAE shows the Pixel 9a for AED 2,350 (approximately $640) ahead of its launch.
According to various leaks, Google is set to announce the Pixel 9a on March 19, with sales commencing on March 26, 2025. This device is turning out to be one of the most extensively leaked smartphones in history.
There have been live hands-on videos, case leaks, and even full reviews circulating online before its official announcement. The availability of the Pixel 9a in two countries prior to Google’s unveiling underscores the imminent release of the phone.
The German retailer Technomarkt briefly posted the Pixel 9a on its website, confirming not only the aforementioned price but also the colors it will offer: Rose, Violet, Gray, and Black. Through this listing, several key specifications emerged, such as Gorilla Glass 3 protection, storage options of 128GB and 256GB, a 6.3-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 8GB of RAM, and the Tensor G4 chipset, which is consistent with the rest of the Pixel 9 series.
In the UAE, the Pixel 9a has appeared for sale on a classifieds website, suggesting that someone has acquired it prematurely for resale, as Google does not distribute phones there officially. The listing also included images of the retail box, which mirrors the design of the Pixel 9 series packaging.
Given the surge in leaks and reviews, the Pixel 9a is about to become one of Google’s most talked-about launches in recent years. If the leaks prove correct, an official announcement from Google could come as soon as tomorrow.
