Oura Ring has expanded its offerings by officially launching Oura Advisor, an AI health coach designed to analyze health data deeply for its users. Initially introduced in beta testing, 83% of early users found the AI’s responses to be reliable.
This feature will be accessible for all Oura Ring 3 and Ring 4 users through the Oura app, with a rollout expected over the next few weeks. The integration of artificial intelligence into consumer technology has been a growing trend, with brands like Samsung enhancing their fitness trackers with AI-assisted insights.
Oura is following suit with its own AI-powered health coach, Oura Advisor. After extensive testing in Oura Labs and being previewed during the launch of the Oura Ring 4 in October 2024, the tool is now ready for general use.
While details are still emerging, users may need a $6 monthly Oura subscription to utilize these enhanced AI features. Oura Advisor goes beyond basic health metrics by providing a comprehensive analysis of personal data.
It serves as a virtual health coach, interpreting stats and identifying patterns requiring attention, rather than just presenting raw numbers. Some of the capabilities demonstrated for Oura Advisor include answering questions pertaining to fluctuations in sleep scores and coming up with insights based on historical data.
Furthermore, Advisor aims to streamline wellness management by also assisting with meal planning, thus eliminating the need to consult other platforms for advice. Oura prioritizes user privacy, guaranteeing that any data shared with the advisor is kept confidential and not shared with third parties.
Users also maintain control over their data, with the ability to view or erase stored information at their convenience. Early testing indicates a promising reception, with many users appreciating the enhanced understanding of their health provided by the AI.
