Samsung’s One UI 7 release timeline may not meet your expectations: Here’s what to know.

Samsung has announced an extensive release schedule for its One UI 7 update, extending into June for various Galaxy devices. The Galaxy S23, Z Fold 5, and the S24 FE are set to receive their updates later this month in April. In contrast, most mid-range and budget Galaxy models will have to wait until June for their updates. After a lengthy wait, Samsung confirmed the official launch date for the stable One UI 7 update in early March, indicating an initial rollout starting April 7.

However, the announcement lacked details regarding the update timeline for older devices. With the stable Android 15 firmware now being rolled out for devices such as the Galaxy S24 and Z Fold 6, Samsung has since clarified its One UI 7 release timeline. In an update shared with its South Korean community, Samsung provided a full schedule that spans until June. Most of the recent flagship devices will receive the Android 15 update in April or May, while mid-range and lower-end Galaxy models have a longer wait time, extending into June.

The official One UI 7 release schedule is as follows:

– **April**: Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 5, Flip 5, S24 FE, and Galaxy Tab S10 lineup. – **May**: Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, Z Flip 3, Galaxy S23 FE, S22 series, S21 series, Galaxy A34, A35, A16, Quantum 5 and 4, Galaxy Tab S8 and S9 series. – **June**: Galaxy A53, A33, A25, A24, A15, Tab A9/A0+, Tab Active 5, and Tab S9 FE. While this timeline is initially for South Korea, it is likely to apply to major markets worldwide, as Samsung typically rolls out updates to international markets shortly after the home release.

Depending on your specific Galaxy device, you could face a wait until June for the stable One UI 7 firmware, which is nearly 10 months post Google’s initial release of Android 15. As the Galaxy S24 series is just now receiving the stable Android 15 update in South Korea, other listed devices are expected to receive their One UI 7 builds later this month. With One UI 7’s rollout being slower than anticipated, there are speculations that Samsung may expedite the release of One UI 8 alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 in July. If this occurs, other flagship Galaxy models should also follow shortly after with the update.
