Stable One UI 7 Update Now Available for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Flip 4, and S23 FE

Samsung has recently expanded the rollout of One UI 7 to more of its devices, specifically the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Flip 4, and S23 FE. The stable update is currently available in South Korea and includes the security patch for April 2025. However, it should be noted that these devices may not receive some of the more significant features associated with One UI 7 due to their older hardware.

In an effort to make up for the delay in launching the stable One UI 7, Samsung has broadened its distribution to several models. Over the past few weeks, the company released an updated One UI 7 for the Galaxy S24, Z Fold 5, Flip 5, and Galaxy S23, with the new firmware already accessible in most major markets, including the US. Continuing this trend, the initial public update of One UI 7 for the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Flip 4, and S23 FE has now been released.

Currently, the final One UI 7 update for these devices is exclusively available for download in South Korea. The firmware, known as HYD9, is specifically for Samsung’s foldable models and has a considerable file size of over 4GB, containing the April 2025 security patch. It is anticipated that, unlike the Galaxy S23 and S24 series, the Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 might miss several notable updates due to their aging specifications.

Until the official One UI 7 notes are published, feedback from users will be crucial to uncover the specific features included or absent in this release. Additionally, alongside the 2022 foldable models, the public One UI 7 build for the Galaxy S23 FE has also been introduced. This firmware, identified as CYDA, is approximately 5GB and currently available in South Korea, with expansion to other markets expected in the coming week.

As per Samsung’s timeline, a broader rollout to additional devices is projected for May. However, it appears that the company is proactively distributing the final firmware to preempt any future delays. The stable One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S22, which shares similar internal components with the Z Fold 4 and debuted in early 2022, is also expected to launch in Korea shortly, followed by a global release.
