Samsung Might Offer Galaxy AI on Your Phone for Free, No Charges Expected

Since the launch of the Galaxy S24 series in 2024, Samsung has heavily invested in its Galaxy AI features. Each new flagship has introduced innovative AI tools that have quickly gained popularity among users. However, Samsung announced from the beginning that these features would only be free for a limited time.

Initially, it was communicated that Galaxy AI would be free until the end of 2025. Many speculated that this would change with the upcoming Galaxy S25, yet it appears that the same timeline will apply. As of now, Samsung has not provided any information regarding potential charges for AI features post-2025 or the pricing structure.

Nonetheless, there are indications that Samsung might keep these Galaxy AI features free for the long term. Notable leaker PandaFlash Pro recently suggested on X that all in-house Galaxy AI features could remain permanently free. This would not include Gemini-powered features, which are provided by Google.

However, essential tools such as Live Translator, Generative Edits, and Writing Tools are expected to be available at no cost indefinitely. While this rumor has yet to be officially confirmed by Samsung, the leaker’s history adds credibility to the claims. We may receive more clarity regarding this topic during the next-generation Galaxy foldable event scheduled for July 9, 2025.

Furthermore, the leaker revealed that Samsung’s upcoming budget-friendly foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, will include the same AI capabilities as the more expensive Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Additionally, it will come with a 6-month subscription for Gemini Advanced, potentially allowing this affordable device to pack a punch with advanced AI features akin to its flagship counterparts.
