New High-Resolution Images Showcase the Complete Galaxy Watch 8 Series in Stunning Squircle Design

Excitement is building among fans of the Galaxy Watch series as exciting leaks reveal the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 family. One of the most noticeable changes is the transition to a bulging, squircle shape, deviating from the traditional round design seen in previous models.

Prominent leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) has circulated new renders that confirm the authenticity of these initial images, showcasing a design update that aligns the less expensive variants closer to the more premium Galaxy Watch Ultra, particularly the Classic model, while still maintaining a sleek appearance in the base model. The revamped design brings a considerable shift in aesthetics, with the entire lineup now resembling the Galaxy Watch Ultra more closely.

However, the initial feedback about the new design has been mixed. To the casual observer, the Ultra version might not look drastically different from its predecessor.

Yet, the introduction of more square-inspired corners marks a distinctive alteration, especially for the base model, which is also the most budget-friendly option available. These recent revelations lend credence to earlier rumors about the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, which was spotted on eBay but failed to attract any bids.

This lack of interest suggests potential apprehension among buyers, as the listing may have seemed too good to be true. The images surfaced from a credible source, as Evan Blass shared them through his Substack mailing list.

They display three color variations of the new smartwatch family in bright, high-resolution detail. While exact release dates have yet to be announced, it is plausible that the new Galaxy Watch models will debut at the summer Galaxy Unpacked event, which is anticipated to occur on July 9, alongside the unveiling of new Galaxy Z Fold smartphones.
