Leak Suggests Price Increase for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Foldable Phone

Samsung’s upcoming foldable phones are set to be revealed in just a few weeks. The company has confirmed that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on Wednesday, July 9, in New York, under the theme “Ultra unfolds.”

Anticipation is high for the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, especially with several leaks surfacing ahead of the announcement. Leaks have already provided glimpses of the new devices, including a hands-on video of a dummy unit for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and official renders.

Initial reports suggest that the Z Fold 7 will be notably thinner than its predecessor, the Z Fold 6. However, potential buyers may be disappointed by the anticipated price increases for both models.

Recent findings from NieuweMobiel, reported via Sammobile, indicate that listings for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 have been spotted in an Italian electronics store, hinting at a price boost. The Z Fold 7 is expected to start at €2,227, while the Z Flip 7 may cost around €1,425 in Europe.

In the UK, predictions suggest a price of £1,975 for the Fold 7 and £1,198 for the Flip 7. If these figures are accurate, consumers could face price hikes ranging from €100 to €200 and £150 to £200 compared to the earlier generation.

While details on U.S. pricing remain unavailable, previous trends suggest that a rise in one market often reflects similar increases elsewhere. With foldable pricing already having increased by $100 in the U.S. last year, further hikes may deter potential buyers, especially considering ongoing concerns about durability and value.

In preparation for the launch, Samsung is currently offering pre-registration deals for the new foldables. Customers can reserve a Galaxy Z Flip or Z Fold 7 to receive a $50 Samsung credit, earn triple reward points, and enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win $5,000.

The unveiling is scheduled for July 9 at 10:00 a.m. ET, making this an exciting time for tech enthusiasts.
