With the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on the horizon, leaks regarding the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE are becoming increasingly frequent. The latest batch of renders, shared by the renowned Evan Blass (@evleaks) on his Substack mailing list, highlights both devices in a comparable manner, making it easy for enthusiasts to identify differences. Upon closer inspection, we’ve identified two subtle variations in addition to the significant changes anticipated.
Despite the launch being weeks away, Samsung has already initiated pre-registration for both the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7. By signing up, customers can enjoy a $50 credit for official Samsung accessories, earn triple rewards points on their purchase, and even enter for a chance to win a $5,000 prize. While the finer details of the Z Flip 7 and its more affordable variant are still under wraps, leaks suggest that the Z Flip 7 will feature 12GB of RAM, while the Flip 7 FE will come with 8GB.
Expectedly, the flagship model will boast a slightly larger screen with a cover display that stretches from edge to edge. The recent images not only emphasize this primary distinction but also provide hints about two additional changes. The Z Flip 7 FE appears largely similar to the prior Z Flip 6, maintaining its dimensions and folder-shaped external screen.
However, it will feature less expensive components. Observing the two models side by side reveals that the Z Flip 7 has a slightly smaller corner radius, enhancing screen space and usability. Furthermore, the premium model seems marginally wider, although the height difference of just 1.5mm is barely noticeable.
Other subtle adjustments include a new frame reinforcement design. Notably, Samsung seems to be introducing a vibrant Coral Red color for the Z Flip 7, diverging from the muted tones of previous years. This fresh hue promises to invigorate the lineup, which otherwise appears somewhat conventional.
