Galaxy S25’s One UI 8 Beta 3 Launches with Enhanced Bug Fixes and Improvements

Samsung has been progressing swiftly with the rollout of its new software, One UI 8 based on Android 16, for its Galaxy S25 series. Previously, the company lagged behind other Android manufacturers in delivering updates, but recent developments indicate a significant acceleration in their timeline. In just a month, Samsung has introduced two beta versions and is now adding a third beta to the mix. Excitement is building as Samsung plans to unveil its latest foldable devices and smartwatches during the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9th at 10 am ET in New York.

Customers can currently reserve either the Galaxy Z Flip or Fold 7, benefitting from a $50 Samsung credit to use on accessories and the opportunity to earn triple reward points, along with entry into a $5,000 sweepstakes. The latest update, now available in the UK and Germany, weighs about 3.6GB or 1.2GB, depending on the initial build. Users in Poland and India participating in the beta program have also received this update, although this marks their second beta due to a later entry into the testing phase. Galaxy S25 owners wanting the latest version can download it through the settings on their devices.

Notably, the third beta primarily aims to address existing bugs rather than introducing new features. Key fix highlights include resolving overlap issues in the status bar, keyboard input glitches with Secure Folder, and intermittent loading delays in the routine menu. In addition, the update shows considerable improvements across various apps. In conjunction with this, Samsung has commenced testing the One UI 8 Watch beta for its Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra.

With the testing phase ramping up, users can anticipate stable releases of One UI 8 and One UI 8 Watch shortly after the new foldables are launched.
