Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: Familiar Design with a Surprising Rear Camera Change

Samsung’s Unpacked event is currently in progress, showcasing the tech giant’s latest advancements. While the spotlight is on their new foldable devices, there’s anticipation surrounding the upcoming Fan Edition (FE) foldable smartphone, specifically the Galaxy S25 FE. Recently, the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) shared the first real-life image of this device, sparking excitement among fans.

While there have been previous leaks of the S25 FE renders, this new image from the WPC confirms its design and reveals additional charging specifications. The overall appearance of the S25 FE aligns with what was initially expected, with one notable alteration. Unlike the S24 series, which featured silver rings around its rear cameras, the S25 series opts for a black ring design.

This change suggests a departure from expectations, as it was assumed that the FE device would retain the S25’s rear look. The WPC certification also indicates that the Galaxy S25 FE will support Qi charging version 2.1.0, making it Qi2 compatible, although it won’t feature built-in magnets. Users can achieve magnetic alignment for wireless charging with compatible cases.

However, the device may fall short in processing power, as it is rumored to utilize last year’s Exynos 2400e chip while upgrading the front camera to a 12MP sensor, an improvement from the S24 FE’s 10MP. Additionally, there are speculations about Samsung incorporating a flexible OLED display, resulting in a slimmer design for the S25 FE. The device is expected to measure 61.4 x 76.6 x 7.4mm, significantly thinner than the S24 FE.

The Galaxy S24 FE launched in October last year, and a similar Q4 release is anticipated for the S25 FE, keeping the excitement alive among Samsung enthusiasts.
