Samsung Guarantees Free Access to Specific Galaxy AI Features for Users

Since the launch of the Galaxy S24 series in early 2024, Samsung has committed to enhancing its portfolio with a range of Galaxy AI features. These include tools such as Live Translate for communication, One UI 8’s Now Briefs, Audio Eraser, and Generative Edit.

Traditionally, many of these features have been available to users at no cost. Initially, Samsung indicated that these Galaxy AI features would remain free until the end of 2025.

However, there has been limited public discussion about this plan, leading to uncertainty regarding their future. Recently, Samsung provided clarification on its intentions.

The company has decided to keep key Galaxy AI features free indefinitely to prioritize user experience. Hints regarding this strategy surfaced last month through unofficial channels, but now Samsung has officially confirmed it.

In a recent briefing for its upcoming foldable devices, the company assured Android Police that all Galaxy AI features that come pre-installed on devices will always remain free. This announcement has quelled speculation about potential paywalls while simultaneously raising new questions about upcoming features and whether any of them will be charged.

Currently, many of Google’s Gemini-powered features are also free on Samsung devices, with advanced features being complimentary for six months for early buyers of the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. Speaking of these devices, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 stands out as the slimmest and lightest in its series.

It boasts a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, a 200MP pro-grade camera, and a sturdy design. The Z Flip 7, on the other hand, is a pocket-friendly device featuring a 4.1-inch FlexWindow and flagship-level camera capabilities, demonstrating Samsung’s innovation in AI technology and design.
