After much anticipation filled with leaks and speculation, Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Z Flip 7, along with the Fan Edition Z Flip 7. As is customary in the tech industry, the attention now shifts to Samsung’s future products.
In this context, a company executive has disclosed the firm’s plans for refreshing the Galaxy Tab S10 series. In an interview with Android Authority, a representative from Samsung South Africa shared that a refresh of the Galaxy Tab S series will be announced “shortly.”
The executive’s statement hints at a timeline consistent with past releases, suggesting that the Galaxy Tab S11 may debut around September, similar to the release schedule of the previous year’s models. This information, coming from a Samsung executive, adds credibility to the news, unlike other anonymous sources that typically circulate rumors.
Interestingly, chatter surrounding the Galaxy Tab S11 has been relatively subdued, with only a few reports surfacing. According to GalaxyClub, Samsung may drop the Plus variant from the Tab S11 lineup, opting instead for a base model and an Ultra variant.
This change would signify a notable shift, as the Galaxy Tab S10 series previously featured both Plus and Ultra options, leaving out the base model. The absence of the base variant could also have implications for next year’s Fan Edition tablets.
Following the exclusion of a base model from the Galaxy Tab S10 series, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Tab S10 FE to fill that gap. A similar scenario could arise if a Galaxy Tab S11 FE is released in 2026.
Additionally, there are discussions about a potential battery capacity increase of around 500mAh for the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, as its battery has not been upgraded since the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra’s launch in 2022. With the launch of the Galaxy Tab S11 series approaching, we can anticipate an uptick in leaks and rumors surrounding these new devices.
