This year has been eventful for Android enthusiasts, particularly with Samsung’s recent launches. Earlier in the year, they introduced the Galaxy S25 lineup, followed by the sleek S25 Edge a few months later.
Not wanting to be left behind, OnePlus also made waves with the release of the OnePlus 13. Now, the spotlight turns to Google as anticipation builds for the Pixel 10.
Google recently confirmed the release date for the Pixel 10, which is set for August 20. Speculations about the launch date had swirled, initially pointing to August 13.
The excitement surrounding this release is compounded by an upcoming Made by Google event in New York City, where a comprehensive Pixel 10 lineup, including the standard Pixel 10, the Pixel 10 Pro, and potentially a Pro XL and a Pro Fold, are expected to be unveiled. Notably, industry insider Mark Gurman shared details about the event on social media.
The Pixel 10 is poised to make a significant impact in the market, particularly with its new in-house Tensor G5 chip expected to be built using TSMC’s advanced 3nm process, promising improved speed, power efficiency, and enhanced AI features. In terms of design, the Pixel 10 and 10 Pro are anticipated to maintain a 6.3-inch OLED display, while the Pro models may feature upgraded internal specifications and camera capabilities.
Another highlight is the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Google’s second attempt at a foldable phone. Leaks suggest noteworthy improvements, including IP68 water and dust resistance, a larger battery, faster charging, and a brighter display compared to its predecessor.
Additionally, attendees of the event can expect to see the Pixel Watch 4, presumably boasting a sleeker design and enhanced battery life, alongside the new Pixel Buds 2a for better audio experiences. Pre-orders are expected to open right after the event, with deliveries likely commencing by the end of August.
