Leak Reveals Battery Sizes for Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro and S26 Edge Models

Samsung is gearing up for the release of the Galaxy S26 lineup, which is expected to make its debut in over six months. Preliminary rumors suggest a significant redesign for this flagship series, marking a major shift after several years.

One notable change will be the elimination of the base and Plus models, with Samsung opting for the Galaxy S26 Pro and S26 Edge instead. Recent reports indicate that the Galaxy S26 Pro will feature a battery capacity rated at 4,175mAh, though Samsung is likely to market it as a 4,300mAh cell, similar to that of the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

With this battery size and the new naming convention, it appears the S26 Pro will align more closely with compact flagships like the iPhone 16 Pro and Google Pixel 9 Pro, with a display of approximately 6.4 inches or less. For comparison, the iPhone 16 Pro has a 6.3-inch display paired with a 3,582mAh battery, while the Pixel 9 Pro, featuring the same display size, houses a larger 4,700mAh cell.

In terms of design and battery capacity, the S26 Pro is expected to be comparable in size to the Galaxy S25, potentially allowing Samsung to fit in an additional 300mAh without significantly increasing the phone’s dimensions. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Edge is rumored to come equipped with a 4,078mAh battery, which would be branded as a 4,200mAh cell.

This upgrade represents a 300mAh increase over the Galaxy S25 Edge’s 3,900mAh battery, likely translating to enhanced battery life. However, without improvements in power efficiency, users may still find it challenging for the device to last throughout the day.

Additionally, the Galaxy S26 Ultra also has reports confirming it will retain the 5,000mAh battery seen in its predecessors. Excitingly, it is expected to support 60W wired fast charging, positioning it as one of the fastest-charging Galaxy devices when it launches next year.
