Samsung has launched the third beta firmware for Android 15 for its Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 devices, incorporating several bug fixes and introducing new features. This update allows users to activate the Gemini assistant by pressing a side button and adds the Galaxy S25’s Audio Eraser capability. With the public rollout of One UI 7 on the horizon, this could be the final beta, although a minor update may still be released before the official launch. The initial One UI 7 beta for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 was rolled out earlier this month, followed closely by a second beta that addressed various issues.
Just weeks before the anticipated public release, Samsung has made the third Android 15 beta firmware available. The latest ZYCG firmware is currently live in South Korea, with plans to extend its availability to regions such as Germany, India, the US, and the UK in the coming days. The update, which is approximately 1.1GB in size, includes an updated security patch extending to April 2025. It focuses primarily on resolving outstanding bugs while adding several new functionalities.
These enhancements enable users to trigger Gemini quickly and utilize the Audio Eraser feature, which removes unwanted background sounds from videos. The One UI 7 Beta 3 release includes notable features such as:
– Pressing and holding the side button to launch the digital assistant. – Converting call recording summaries to text. – Creating custom stickers and images.
– Summarizing web pages. – Utilizing the Audio Eraser. – Implementing natural language-based searches within settings. In terms of bug fixes, the update addresses issues like rendering problems with the battery widget and overlapping widgets.
Additionally, enhancements have been made to the Galaxy AI’s Sketch-to-Image feature, enabling more precise input through text or voice for image generation. Unless significant bugs are reported, this may be the last beta of One UI 7 for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 before the public release. A Release Candidate might be issued for beta users prior to the stable firmware launch.
