OnePlus has officially entered the MagSafe accessory market with its new Slim Magnetic Power Bank. This device boasts a 5,000mAh capacity and features a sleek 9mm design, making it one of the more compact options available.
It is compatible with any Qi2 smartphone or accessory, allowing users to benefit from magnetic charging. Additionally, it can charge other devices through a USB-C connection, ensuring universal compatibility.
Priced at $70, it is currently available as part of a limited-time bundle with the OnePlus 13 and its MagSafe-supported case. Although the OnePlus 13 does not include Qi2 magnets in its chassis, an optional first-party case provides full magnetic support.
The phone was launched alongside a 50W magnetic puck charger, which features a built-in fan to manage heat. The Slim Magnetic Power Bank may not charge as quickly as the puck, but it serves as a practical and appealing gadget for both current OnePlus users and potential customers.
On paper, the power bank appears quite standard, similar to Anker’s popular 621 Power Bank. However, OnePlus sets itself apart by achieving a slimmer design, measuring 96mm in length, 69mm in width, and only 9mm in thickness.
It weighs 120 grams, slightly lighter than Anker’s offering. OnePlus claims to have achieved this compact design through the use of high energy density battery cells, N52M magnets, and an aluminum alloy body.
Although it is not the slimmest magnetic power bank, it is still a notable addition to the market. Potential buyers should note, however, that it lacks the SuperVOOC fast-charging capability often associated with OnePlus products.
