Motorola is gearing up to release new foldable Razr models in 2025, including the premium Razr+ and a more budget-friendly Razr. The Razr+ (2025) promises a robust set of features such as a 4,500 mAh battery, dual 50MP rear cameras, and the advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. On the other hand, the base Razr 60 (2025) will sport a smaller 6.7-inch display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chipset, and incorporate wet touch functionality. Recent leaks have confirmed that Motorola is indeed developing new iterations of its Razr foldables.
Initial leaks revealed full renders of the Moto Razr+ (2025) in various finishes including woodgrain, green, and shades of red. Further insights into the Razr+ specs have surfaced, showcasing the more affordable Razr 60 as well. While the design of the Razr+ isn’t expected to diverge significantly from the current Razr+ (2024), improvements in internal hardware are evident. Listed on China’s TENAA database, the Razr+ is set to debut globally as the Moto Razr 60 Ultra.
It features a 4,500 mAh battery, an upgrade from the previous 4,000 mAh found in the Razr 40 Ultra, and is slated to support 68W fast charging, enhancing the current 45W capability. The display will likely remain the same with a 6.9-inch inner foldable screen and a 4-inch pOLED cover display. Along with the dual 50MP cameras, the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset will support up to 18GB of RAM and 2TB of storage. The more affordable Moto Razr (2025), also known as Razr 60, is expected to be available in three colors and will feature an improved IP48 rating.
Although it will have a smaller 6.7-inch inner display, it will retain a 4,500 mAh battery and a 50MP main camera. The MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chipset will power this variant, and while details on the ultra-wide sensor remain vague, it’s anticipated there will be concessions given its lower price point. Although Motorola typically launches its foldable phones in June, the numerous leaks suggest that an earlier launch might be possible. The company has yet to announce an official launch date, but updates will follow as more information becomes available.
