Google Slides has released exciting new templates for 2025, marking the second wave of improvements after the initial launch in 2024. Starting from April 22, users can access these templates at no additional cost, providing a valuable resource for enhancing presentations. Microsoft productivity applications have long been the preferred choice for project management, often due to their robust features. However, for those looking to save on expenses, various alternatives are emerging in the market.
When Google Workspace was first introduced, its apps were limited in functionality, making them less reliable for daily tasks. Fast forward nearly two decades, and Google has made significant strides, positioning its products as worthy contenders against Microsoft’s offerings. The introduction of the new Slides templates is particularly beneficial for users who may feel unsure where to start on their projects. This second wave includes fresh designs aimed at simplifying the creative process.
Notably, these templates will automatically appear for users within the Rapid Release schedule, with a rollout for Schedule Release users beginning on May 6. Administrators do not need to take any action; the new templates will be available by default. To explore these templates, users can easily navigate to the Insert section and select Templates within Google Slides. However, it’s important to note that these options are only available for accounts set to the English (United States) preference.
In addition to the new templates, users can also leverage the capabilities of Gemini to enhance creativity in their presentations. Gemini offers assistance in generating slides, creating images, and even brainstorming innovative ideas. Ultimately, as users prepare to deliver their concepts, the addition of multi-monitor support ensures a professional presentation experience.
