The newly launched Boox Go 7 and Go Color 7 Gen II e-readers have made a significant leap in terms of functionality, now offering stylus support alongside an improved design, all at competitive prices. The Go 7 features a 7-inch E Ink Carta 1300 display, which comes with adjustable front lighting to enhance the reading experience, making it comfortable whether you’re outdoors or in a dim room. Meanwhile, the Go Color 7 Gen II is equipped with a Kaleido 3 color screen capable of displaying 4,096 colors and operates on Android 13, providing access to the full Google Play Store. Onyx’s Boox Go series has always distinguished itself by merging the efficiency of E Ink technology with the adaptability of Android in a compact format.
Previously, the absence of built-in stylus support disappointed users eager to make notes or sketches. However, with the introduction of the new Go 7 and Go Color 7 Gen II models, this gap has finally been addressed. Both models maintain the familiar 7-inch size but now come with stylus capabilities via the new InkSense Stylus, available for an additional purchase. The pricing for the new lineup remains competitive, with the Go 7 available for pre-order at $250, expected to ship starting May 7.
The Go Color 7, priced at $280, will be available soon as well. The Go 7’s sharp E Ink display boasts a resolution of 300 PPI, delivering a paper-like experience ideal for prolonged reading sessions. Additionally, the Go 7 features an ergonomic off-center design, complete with two physical page-turn buttons. It comes with 64GB of built-in storage, expandability via a microSD slot, and offers audio playback through its built-in speaker or Bluetooth connectivity.
The Go Color 7 Gen II maintains its analog twin’s features but enhances color display while keeping black-and-white text crisp. The dual capabilities of both models, powered by Android 13, allow users to access a wide range of reading, note-taking, and streaming applications.
