AT&T’s robocall app adds an unexpected password manager feature for users’ convenience.

AT&T has recently enhanced its ActiveArmor app by introducing new security features aimed at combating scams and fraud. These features include lost wallet recovery, ID recovery, password storage, a browser extension for managing passwords, and social media identity protection. While the functionalities are available to everyone, AT&T users enjoy free access, while those with other carriers can subscribe for a nominal fee of $4 per month. With the increasing prevalence of scams, AT&T recognized the urgency to improve its ActiveArmor app, and that’s precisely what it has done.

The latest updates aim to provide users with heightened protection, whether they are at home or on the go. A standout feature is the lost wallet recovery tool, which helps users quickly recover important items such as driver’s licenses and checkbooks. Customers benefit from direct access to recovery specialists who can assist with canceling compromised cards and replacing other sensitive financial documents, all in one platform. Importantly, these new security features are not exclusive to AT&T customers.

Anyone can take advantage of them by installing the app. For those who are not AT&T subscribers, the monthly fee is a small price to pay for enhanced security. In conjunction with these new features, AT&T remains proactive in combating robocalls, managing to block or flag over two billion of such calls each month. By leveraging machine learning and advanced network tools, AT&T swiftly identifies and eliminates fraudulent calls.

Users of the free ActiveArmor app gain even greater control over unwanted messages, including spam texts that originate from email addresses. By adjusting settings within the app, users can easily eliminate these bothersome messages.
