Most notably, it appears that the new watch may utilize the same Exynos W1000 chip found in last year’s Galaxy Watch 7. This speculation has been reported by various sources, highlighting a shared part number that indicates the two models carry the same processor. While some may find this redundancy disappointing, the Exynos W1000 is still considered a reliable performer.
It made significant advancements last year, transitioning from a dual-core to a five-core CPU that resulted in a performance boost of 3.4 times compared to its predecessor. However, for those looking for substantial hardware enhancements in the Galaxy Watch 8, the news might not meet expectations. Aside from the hardware, Samsung seems to be focusing on improving design and software with the Galaxy Watch 8. The upcoming One UI 8 Watch is expected to introduce new features such as Calculator, Voice Recorder, and a Galaxy Buds controller, along with the convenience of quickly launching the Recorder app using the side Quick Button.

The material design language anticipated in One UI 8 Watch could elevate the overall interface. While an official launch date has yet to be confirmed, Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy Unpacked event is projected to occur in early July, hinting that details regarding the Galaxy Watch 8 will soon be revealed.
