Samsung is enhancing its One UI beta program by simplifying the registration process and introducing a dedicated “Beta space” within the Samsung Members app. The new Beta tab has gone live for certain users, indicating that the One UI 8 beta is set to launch soon. Now, users can easily refresh the app with a pull-down gesture to check for beta availability without needing to restart the application.
Currently, Samsung is in the process of rolling out One UI 7, which is expected to take at least another month to reach all eligible devices. Delays during the initial rollout have contributed to the wait. Although this situation may be frustrating for Galaxy users, they can look forward to the upcoming One UI 8 update, confirmed to be based on Android 16, and anticipated this summer.
As the launch of One UI 8 approaches, Samsung has announced key changes to its beta testing process. The updated Beta Program aims to create a better experience for users. This includes a streamlined two-step registration process, which allows participants to join the Beta program and begin testing seamlessly.
Unlike before, users only need to accept the Beta terms and conditions once, making it easier to join and exit beta tests. Furthermore, Samsung has introduced a dedicated “Beta Program Home.” This section is always accessible, regardless of any beta testing periods, enabling users to participate in ongoing tests and find valuable “Beta Tips.”
Users can access this Beta space either through the Samsung Members home screen or by selecting the Beta recruitment banner displayed during active tests. These changes should significantly improve the beta experience for Galaxy users. However, many are hopeful that Samsung will manage the One UI 8 rollout more smoothly than it did with One UI 7.
