Recently, some Galaxy A56 users in Europe have been experiencing bootloop issues following the One UI 7 update. For many affected users, a simple solution has emerged: removing the SIM card and rebooting the device.
The Galaxy A56 has yet to see a launch in the US, and no official release date has been announced. Earlier this year, alongside the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the A56 was one of the first Samsung smartphones to come pre-installed with One UI 7.
While Samsung has confirmed that the mid-range device will arrive in the US later this year, it has already been released in several global markets, including Europe and Asia. As is typical, Samsung has begun rolling out updates to the Galaxy A56 in these regions.
However, the latest One UI 7 update seems to have caused significant issues for some users. Earlier this month, a new update was pushed out in Europe, which added a shortcut for launching Gemini by long-pressing the side button and upgraded the phone to the May 2025 security patch.
Unfortunately, several users are reporting that their devices become stuck on the boot screen and do not load into the system after the update. While the number of affected users is not extensive, it has raised concerns.
Thankfully, a workaround has surfaced. One user suggested turning off the phone, removing the SIM card, booting the phone without it, and then reinserting the SIM card once the phone successfully boots.
So far, this method has reportedly helped many restore their devices. Interestingly, this update was also rolled out to other A-series models such as the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A26, but no similar complaints have emerged from those users.
As for the US launch of the Galaxy A56, the wait continues, but anticipation remains high for its arrival as a competitor to models like the Pixel 9a. The Galaxy A56 offers a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by the Exynos 1580 chipset, boasting up to 256GB of storage.
Samsung also promises six major Android upgrades, a rarity in this market segment.
