Galaxy Watch 8 Leaks Reveal Squircle Design Across Entire Lineup

Samsung is expected to unveil its next-generation smartwatches in just a few weeks, following the company’s usual schedule. While the classic round displays are likely to remain, recent leaks suggest a significant design change towards squarer edges, reminiscent of the Galaxy Watch Ultra.

Newly released renders provide a clearer view of the upcoming models and reveal some striking color options in the works. Recent information indicates that Samsung’s 2025 smartwatch lineup will undergo a style transformation.

The squircle design, a blend of round and square aesthetics first introduced with the Galaxy Watch Ultra, is set to feature across all models. There’s growing excitement about three new models on the horizon: two versions of the Galaxy Watch 8 and a new Ultra variant.

Judging by the latest renders, even the base model will move away from the traditional curves to embrace a more angular design. Within this new lineup, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic and the Ultra will definitely grab attention.

The Classic will maintain its beloved rotating bezel, while the Ultra adopts a more robust look. The standard Galaxy Watch 8 will also receive the squircle treatment, though its design will be somewhat more subdued.

Overall, while all models share a consistent design language, each variant presents its own unique flair. Sizing details from the renders reveal that the regular Galaxy Watch 8 will come in two sizes, while the Classic will offer just one.

The Classic will stick with classic colors like black and silver, whereas the Ultra will introduce a fresh blue option. It remains uncertain what other modifications may accompany the Ultra.

This update reinforces the recent leak showing the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic’s squircle design and notable features. Although Samsung has remained silent, historical patterns suggest an official announcement may take place in mid-July, with products likely available before the month ends.
