Recently, a hacking group has claimed responsibility for stealing data belonging to 64 million T-Mobile customers. However, T-Mobile has firmly denied any data breach, asserting that the leaked information is not associated with the company or its clientele.
This situation has left many customers feeling anxious, particularly because there are noticeable similarities to previous T-Mobile hacks. The hacking group announced the alleged breach on a well-known forum dedicated to data leaks, asserting that the data is current as of June 1, 2025.
Cybernews claimed to have reviewed a portion of the leaked document, which allegedly contains sensitive details, including full names, dates of birth, tax IDs, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, device IDs, cookie IDs, and IP addresses. Such information could be exploited for various malicious actions, including identity theft and phishing attacks, as it provides ample tools for cybercriminals.
T-Mobile’s response to the claims has been decisive: they categorically state that the reported data does not pertain to their customers. Nevertheless, the situation may not be straightforward.
Investigations by Cybernews revealed that some of the data may match records from previous T-Mobile breaches. Additionally, the fact that the hack-monitoring website Have I Been Pwned has not updated its data suggests that no new information may have surfaced in this latest incident.
