July 9th: The Anticipated Day for Samsung Enthusiasts is Finally Here!

It’s that time of the year again. As we approach the end of June and gear up for July, excitement is building for Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked event.

This summer gathering is closely associated with the company’s foldable devices, a tradition that continues this year. So far, whispers have suggested a July date for the event, but now, a trusted industry leaker has confirmed specific details.

Evan Blass recently shared that the Unpacked event is set for Wednesday, July 9th, which falls exactly three weeks from now. Fans can expect it to kick off at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, aligning closely with last summer’s July 10th event.

Reports indicate that Samsung will likely unveil two new foldables: the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7. In addition to these anticipated devices, there’s strong speculation surrounding the introduction of Samsung’s first Fan Edition foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.

This device has already cleared regulatory hurdles, indicating its likely appearance during the event as a more affordable version of 2023’s Z Flip 5. Alongside the foldables, Samsung is expected to showcase the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Ultra, and possibly a Classic variant.

Fans can also look forward to new updates, particularly the rollout of One UI 8 based on Android 16, which will likely debut with the new foldables. While there is buzz about Samsung’s Android XR-powered Project Moohan, this may be a brief mention as it’s anticipated to launch in the fall, with more details expected at a separate Unpacked event later in September.

As we count down to July 9th, it’s anyone’s guess how much the new devices will cost, but the excitement is certainly palpable.
