Gemini Live Enhances Productivity with New Integration of Google Keep

Google Gemini is a powerful tool, and its functionality can be enhanced through various apps and extensions. This allows the AI chatbot to interact seamlessly with services like Google Keep, Drive, Gmail, and YouTube. However, the Gemini Live feature, which enables users to share their screens or camera feeds for direct analysis by Google’s AI, does not include this capability with extensions. At the I/O 2025 event, Google announced plans to develop such functionality, and it appears that it is now being rolled out to select users.

Recent reports from Reddit indicate that some users can now engage with Gemini Live and request it to create and save notes directly in Google Keep. Previously, users had no option to instruct Gemini Live to execute these tasks. This enhancement significantly amplifies the feature’s utility, allowing users to engage naturally with the AI about various topics, such as recipes, and subsequently instruct it to save the necessary ingredients in a Google Keep note. Moreover, while sharing a camera feed with Gemini Live, users can also note details in a document or post directly to Google Keep.

Although Gemini Live is free, it remains uncertain whether these app integrations will only be available to users subscribed to a paid AI plan. It is worth noting that Google may still be in the initial phases of rolling out Keep support for Gemini Live, meaning that it might take some time before this feature appears on all devices. Users looking to expedite the process can try force-closing the Google or Gemini app on their phones and updating to the latest version in the Play Store. Beyond Google Keep, Gemini Live is expected to integrate with other apps, including Google Maps, Tasks, and Calendar, with some functionalities likely becoming available in the near future.
