Simplified Sharing of Google Calendar Booking Pages Through Gmail Now Available

Since 2023, Gmail users have enjoyed the ability to schedule Google Calendar events and meetings directly from the compose screen. This feature allows individuals to propose meeting times or create events without leaving their email draft. Google plans to enhance this integration by enabling users to create and share booking pages directly within the compose interface.

The announcement from Google highlights that users will soon be able to integrate their Google Calendar appointment booking pages directly into their email drafts. Once sent, recipients will have the option to click on a booking icon in the email, which will redirect them to the appointment page. This upgrade aims to streamline the scheduling process, making it easier for users to manage their availability without toggling between multiple tabs.

Google emphasized in a Workspace Updates post that this update allows for better scheduling, keeping everything organized in one place. To utilize the new feature, users can tap on the three-dot menu in the bottom toolbar of the compose screen and select ‘Set up a time to meet.’ Available booking pages will be displayed, along with an option to create a new one if none exist.

After selecting a booking page, it will be appended to the email draft in a user-friendly rectangular box. This feature not only aids in client scheduling but is also beneficial for internal team coordination and one-on-one meetings. Currently, the feature is being rolled out, with many users likely to have access within the week.

Google aims for the full rollout to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual Subscribers, and personal Google account users by the end of July. Many users, including myself, are already enjoying this convenient addition.
