Samsung’s tablet strategy is undergoing noticeable changes as the company readies its Galaxy Tab S11 series. After not refreshing the base model in the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup last year, Samsung is reportedly narrowing its offerings by eliminating the Plus variant. The upcoming series will reportedly feature just two models: the Galaxy Tab S11 and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. This shift aligns with Samsung’s increasing focus on blending its tablets with laptop-like functionalities.
The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is set to take center stage once again. Recently, prominent leaker Evan Blass, known as @evleaks, provided the first glimpse of the Ultra’s design, which appears to be more refined than ever. The initial render showcases both the front and back of the tablet, revealing a sleeker design. The front features slimmer bezels and a considerable AMOLED display.
There is still a notch for the front-facing camera(s), but it has been significantly reduced in size compared to the previous Tab S10 Ultra. This U-shaped notch improvement is particularly beneficial for users who frequently use the tablet in landscape mode for video calls or productivity tasks. The S Pen is making a comeback as well, reinforcing Samsung’s commitment to stylus support as an essential part of the productivity experience. On the backside, the Tab S11 Ultra retains its dual-camera setup but with larger camera rings that echo the design seen in the Galaxy S25 series.
This cohesive design approach suggests Samsung aims to integrate its phone and tablet aesthetics, catering to users who utilize multiple Galaxy devices. Looking ahead, the Tab S11 series is anticipated to debut in September 2025. Although the absence of a Plus model may be noted, the Tab S11 and S11 Ultra could offer enough appeal for both mainstream and power users as leaks continue to build anticipation for the announcement.
