The Galaxy Buds 3 are praised for their sound quality, but their premium price tag may deter potential buyers. For those seeking a more affordable option within Samsung’s offerings, the Buds FE series presents an appealing alternative.
Recently, there has been a leak revealing the design of the upcoming Galaxy Buds 3 FE, which closely resembles the look of the Buds 3 Pro. A render of the Galaxy Buds 3 FE briefly surfaced on X, shared by Evan Blass, before being removed.
Fortunately, 9to5Google managed to capture the image, showcasing a stemmed design with silicone tips that mirror Samsung’s higher-end models and adopt an aesthetic similar to Apple’s offerings. This design trend seems to be continuing as Samsung moves forward.
The Buds 3 FE will retain the stemmed design found in the Pro version, while the standard Buds 3 feature an open fit that foregoes ear tips. This decision could resonate with budget-conscious consumers looking for a premium feel without the hefty price.
The FE might also attract those who were not fans of the original Buds 3 shape. Interestingly, Samsung appears to be skipping a numerical iteration in the naming.
Instead of introducing a “2 FE,” they seem to be advancing directly to the Buds 3 FE, indicating a clear intention to position these as the next iteration in their fan edition lineup. While the leaked image reveals the outer design of the Buds 3 FE, it remains uncertain whether they will inherit any notable features from the Pro model, such as the LED Blade Lights or enhanced audio performance.
Samsung often avoids including advanced specifications in their Fan Edition products to maintain lower prices. The original Galaxy Buds FE were launched two years ago at $99, but with potential additions like Galaxy AI, the price might increase.
There are also rumors about their simultaneous launch with the Galaxy S25 FE, although that detail remains to be confirmed.
