Assassin’s Creed Shadows Unveils Summer Roadmap Featuring New Game Plus and Exciting Additions

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a single-player game that receives frequent updates akin to a live service multiplayer title. Ubisoft has recently released a summer update roadmap filled with anticipated enhancements for players.

The first of these updates is set to launch next week and includes features such as raised level caps and a New Game Plus mode, encouraging players to revisit the game. Additional improvements and a story expansion are scheduled between July 29 and September 16.

The summer roadmap consists of three major updates. The initial update on July 29 is significant as it introduces the New Game Plus mode.

This feature will be available to players who have completed the main story, allowing them to either restart the story or begin from when the Hideout is first unlocked. Players will retain all their gear, skills, and progress from previous runs, enhancing the replayability of Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Along with New Game Plus, the July 29 update will also increase the level cap from 60 to 80, introduce new ranks for Knowledge and Mastery skills, and add new hideout buildings and the Forge. Additionally, a third Shadow Project will be launched, offering another rewards track reminiscent of a battle pass.

The following update, arriving at the beginning of September, aims to improve quality-of-life features. This includes the ability to skip time-of-day transitions, uncap frame rates on PC, and streamline the removal of fog of war on the open-world map.

Finally, on September 16, the Claws of Awaji expansion will be released, adding over ten hours of new story content, a new region, and a variety of weapons, abilities, outfits, and enemies. Players who pre-ordered Assassin’s Creed Shadows will receive the Claws of Awaji expansion for free, provided they have completed the main story before beginning it.
