Samsung has been engaging users in a beta testing phase for One UI 8 since May, with regular updates provided every few weeks. However, this routine was interrupted last month when the One UI 8 Beta 3 update was released, and there has been a noticeable absence of updates since that time. According to a recent post in Samsung’s forum, the company is planning to release the One UI 8 Beta 4 update next week. While there is no explanation for the gap between Beta 3 and Beta 4, the moderator has expressed apologies for the delay.
This beta version of One UI 8 is built on Android 16, which became available for AOSP and Pixel devices in June. Additionally, Samsung’s latest folding devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE, come with One UI preinstalled. The upcoming Galaxy S26 series is also expected to feature this latest version of the user interface. The Beta 4 update is anticipated to introduce several new features such as an improved Now Bar and Now Brief functionality, QR code sharing for Auracast audio streams, an enhanced Reminder app, and a revamped user interface.
While there is no specific timeline for when Samsung will release the stable version of One UI 8, it is reasonable to predict that Beta 4 will be one of the final iterations before a stable rollout. For those who are eager to experience One UI 8, Galaxy S25-series users can participate in the public beta by signing up through the Samsung Members app.
