Major Leak Reveals All You Need to Know About Samsung Galaxy Watch 8

Samsung is gearing up for an exciting Unpacked event on July 9th, where it will unveil several new devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Flip FE, and the Galaxy Watch 8 lineup. Preliminary leaks have indicated that the upcoming series of smartwatches will feature a unique squircle design. A recent report has disclosed the complete specifications of the Galaxy Watch 8, revealing an increase in pricing. All models of the Galaxy Watch 8 will be powered by Samsung’s 3nm Exynos W1000 chip, which was also used in the Galaxy Watch 7.

Each smartwatch, including the standard Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Watch Ultra (set for 2025), will come with 2GB of RAM. However, the entry-level Watch 8 will maintain its predecessor’s 32GB storage, while the Classic and Ultra models will boast 64GB. In terms of functionality, all three watches will feature a comprehensive set of sensors, including Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) and ECG sensors. They will offer vibrant displays with peak brightness reaching 3,000 nits, protected by durable Sapphire Glass.

The Ultra model will introduce added safety features, such as an 86dB emergency siren and a robust 47mm titanium casing housing a substantial 590mAh battery. On the pricing front, the Galaxy Watch 8 lineup is expected to see a price increase in Europe. The 40mm Galaxy Watch 8 will likely retail at €380, while the 44mm model will have a €30 premium. The anticipated prices for the LTE variants will be €430 and €460, respectively, reflecting a rise of €50-€60 compared to the Watch 7 at launch.

The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic may retail for €530, with an additional €50 for the LTE variant. Interestingly, the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) is expected to maintain its €700 price. Samsung will officially reveal the Galaxy Watch 8 during the Unpacked event and plans to launch the new smartwatches in France, with a possible rollout across Europe, on July 23rd.
