Discover Samsung’s Trifold Phone Through Hidden One UI 8 Animations: A Sneak Peek!

The upcoming Samsung device, inspired by Huawei’s Mate XT, is generating significant anticipation as its formal unveiling draws near. First teased at Samsung’s January Unpacked event, the device is expected to be featured during the foldable-focused Unpacked on July 9.

While an official launch at this event seems unlikely, tech enthusiasts are hopeful for a comprehensive preview of what is being dubbed the Galaxy G Fold. Samsung is gearing up to introduce not just the Galaxy G Fold, but also the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Galaxy Watch 8, and various other Galaxy products.

Consumers are encouraged to pre-reserve these devices to receive a $50 credit, offering potential savings on their purchases. What sets the Galaxy G Fold apart from Huawei’s offering is its unique folding mechanism.

While the Mate XT utilizes a dual-hinge design for an S/Z-shaped fold, Samsung’s design is reportedly G-shaped, allowing the device to fold inwards from both sides. Though details remain sparse, it is rumored that the new device will operate on a Snapdragon chipset and feature a durable titanium frame.

Recent leaks from Samsung hint at the device’s appearance, specifically a beta version of One UI 8 that reveals animations related to its NFC positioning and design. These animations depict a triple-folding device featuring three rear cameras in a pill-shaped arrangement, reflecting similar design elements found in the Z Fold 6.

Additionally, the animations demonstrate the G-shaped folding mechanism and include a warning on the improper folding of the device. Interestingly, the One UI 8 files refer to it as Multifold 7, potentially indicating an internal codename, as the official name remains uncertain.

With just days to go until Unpacked, more concrete details regarding Samsung’s trifolding device are eagerly anticipated.
