The OnePlus 13T Launches Globally, But Don’t Get Too Enthusiastic Just Yet

The OnePlus 13T is set to launch soon in India under the name OnePlus 13s. This new model features an impressive 6,260 mAh battery, a dual 50MP camera setup, an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance, and a 6.3-inch display. Despite its appealing specifications and competitive pricing, the device will not be available in the US or Europe. The OnePlus 13 has been well-received as one of the top smartphones of 2025.

However, the excitement around the compact version, initially released as the OnePlus 13T, quickly faded when it was confirmed to be exclusive to China. Fortunately, OnePlus recently announced that the smartphone will also be launched in India, albeit with a new name, the OnePlus 13s. This marks the first time that OnePlus will be introducing an “s” variant of one of its devices. The OnePlus 13s will be offered in Black Velvet and Pink Satin colors, reflecting similar features to those found in the Chinese version, OnePlus 13T.

The device boasts a compact 6.32-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2640 x 1216 pixels, supporting Dolby Vision and HDR10+. One of the standout features is its 6,260 mAh battery, which surpasses that of competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and Google Pixel 9 Pro XL. The OnePlus 13s will also support 80W fast charging. The camera system includes dual 50MP lenses, with one being an optically stabilized primary sensor and the other serving as a 2x telephoto lens.

While OnePlus has no plans to release the 13s in the US or Europe, importing the device from India offers the advantage of Google Play Services and compatibility with most networks. In China, the base model is priced at approximately $450, and the OnePlus 13s is expected to be competitively priced in India, likely under INR 50,000. The official launch date is anticipated within a few weeks.
