Gemini Discovers a Game-Changing Time-Saving Technique from Google Search

Google is currently making strides to enhance its Gemini app for Android users by introducing a time-saving feature. While this feature shows promise, it has limited capabilities as it requires specific conditions to function effectively.

Recently, Android Authority conducted an APK teardown of the Google app v16.21.55 beta, revealing a new feature that promises to save users time in Gemini. This feature is reminiscent of the well-known autocomplete function in Google Search, which many of us have come to rely on without a second thought.

The teardown indicated that the autocomplete capability presents suggested queries after the user begins typing, streamlining the search process. When activated, this feature functions similar to its Google Search counterpart.

As demonstrated in a recent video, it shows several relevant suggestions after only a few characters are entered. The suggestions become increasingly accurate as more text is typed, offering users the option to select or ignore them based on their needs.

However, it is important to note that the current implementation of this autocomplete feature is limited. It is only functional when initiating a new chat from the app’s main screen and doesn’t yet support the Gemini overlay.

Although these limitations may be addressed before the feature is released to all users, the timeline for its availability remains uncertain. It will be intriguing to see whether this autocomplete feature will launch before the anticipated Circle Screen capability in the Gemini overlay.
