This amusing error allows users to stack screens infinitely by repeatedly accessing the Circle to Search feature. While it highlights a lack of polish in the system, it simply offers a fun diversion until Google implements a fix. Like many operating systems, Android can experience bugs.
However, most glitches are more of a nuisance than an amusement. This particular one is a delightful exception. Originating from a post by user Noah Cat on the platform X, the glitch creates a visual reminiscent of an infinity mirror on users’ phone screens, making it an intriguing phenomenon to engage with. The Circle to Search glitch is easy to reproduce.
When you activate Circle to Search, you can display your recent tasks through the Recents/Overview screen, which shows the Circle to Search image under the Google logo. By repeatedly activating Circle to Search, users create an infinite loop of Circle to Search screens, turning it into a playful distraction akin to a built-in fidget toy on the device. Although reproducing the glitch is straightforward, it’s best experienced on Pixel devices. Nevertheless, Samsung users can also participate by adjusting their Recents screen when accessing Circle to Search.
There is currently no information on whether Nothing phone users experience similar issues. While it is surprising that this glitch was not identified and resolved prior to its release, it nonetheless offers a light-hearted experience for those using the feature. It serves as a reminder that even in a polished system, bugs can occasionally slip through the cracks, providing unexpected moments of amusement.
