Oppo held a significant event in China, showcasing an impressive array of new products, including smartphones, earphones, a tablet, and a smartwatch. Although many of these items may not be available globally, the Oppo Watch X2 Mini has potential for international release as the OnePlus Watch 3 Mini. The standout product of the event was the Oppo Find X8 Ultra, while the Find X8s is expected to serve as the foundation for the upcoming OnePlus 13T.
Additionally, the Oppo Watch X2 Mini could make its way outside of China, further indicating the close relationship between Oppo and OnePlus in sharing product lineups. As for the OnePlus Watch 3, it has garnered positive attention. Recently launched in the US for $500—significantly above its original $330 price—this smartwatch has surprised many users.
Despite the price increase, there are rumors of a more affordable option on the horizon. Leakster Abhishek Yadav suggested that the Oppo Watch X2 Mini could be sold as the OnePlus Watch 3 Mini in India and globally. A spokesperson for OnePlus hinted at the launch of a new, smaller smartwatch later this year that would include cellular connectivity support, reinforcing the credibility of Yadav’s claim.
The Oppo Watch X2 Mini features a compact 43mm dial and is priced at CNY 1,529 in China. It boasts an AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 2200 nits and is IP68 rated for water resistance. Equipped with the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset, 2GB of RAM, and eSIM support, the Oppo Watch X2 Mini promises impressive functionality.
Operating on Wear OS 5, it can switch to an alternative RTOS for better battery performance. Given its strong features and potential market release, the OnePlus Watch 3 Mini could be a popular choice among smartwatch enthusiasts. However, official details remain undisclosed, and fans will have to wait for further announcements.
