The Galaxy Tab S10 FE and FE+ are officially available for purchase as of today, directly from Samsung’s website and at national retailers. The pricing for these new devices is set at $500 for the Tab S10 FE and $650 for the Tab S10 FE+. These tablets are equipped with the Samsung Exynos 1580 chipset, which enhances performance and extends battery life, making them ideal for both daily tasks and gaming.
These new models come with various AI features, pre-installed productivity and creativity applications, and boast premium display options, all offered in three distinct colors and multiple storage configurations. Despite their quality, Android tablets have historically been underestimated. This overshadowing, particularly by Apple’s iPad line, often leads to neglect in appreciating Android devices like those from Samsung.
Although iPads are impressive and well-integrated into workflows—something I’ve benefited from using my iPad Air and Apple Pencil for college—they do come with a hefty price tag. Many students, prioritizing portability without the bulk of a traditional laptop, often find themselves on a strict budget. Samsung’s higher-end tablets, such as the Galaxy Tab S10+ and S10 Ultra, start at $1,000 and $1,200, respectively, which can deter budget-conscious buyers.
The Galaxy Tab S10 FE and FE+ aim to address this gap, providing many flagship features at more accessible price points. Both tablets feature an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, allowing users to be worry-free, even during intense study sessions. The video display sizes vary, with the S10 FE+ featuring a 13.1-inch display, and the S10 FE at 10.9 inches—both with a 90Hz refresh rate.
Moreover, despite their lower price, the FE models offer a suite of similar premium AI functionalities found in higher-tier devices, such as handwriting assist, math solver, and object eraser, among others. In terms of color options, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and S10 FE+ are available in Gray, Silver, and Blue, with storage choices of 128 GB and 256 GB. With trade-in value possibilities of up to $300, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 FE positions itself as a strong contender as a midrange tablet, especially considering its IP68 protection and new AI tools, making it one of the best budget tablets available.
