Samsung’s One UI 7 has had a lengthy and complicated journey. Historically, the company has been efficient in rolling out updates for its extensive range of devices. However, this particular release has been marked by some delays. While the software has been available for the Galaxy S25 series since its launch, other models have not been as fortunate.
This delay has understandably left many loyal fans feeling frustrated and concerned about whether their devices would ever receive the update. Fortunately, a potential release schedule was shared recently, indicating that Samsung will be taking its time with the rollout, with some devices expected to receive the update as late as June. On a more positive note, owners of the latest models, such as the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6, have reason to rejoice. Samsung has begun the global rollout of the update, which has even reached the United States.
This development is significant, particularly for users looking forward to new features and improvements. Currently, beta users are the first to experience the update, as Samsung is providing it to those with unlocked devices who participated in the beta program. Users with carrier-locked models should also receive the update soon, although there may be a slight delay, so patience is advised. To check for the update, users can navigate to the Settings menu, select Software Update, and then choose the option to Check for updates.
If the update is available, they will see details about the new version and be prompted to download it. As this is a substantial update, it is recommended to allocate enough time for the download process.
