Release Dates for One UI 7 on Previous Galaxy Phone Models Explained

One UI 7 is anticipated to be one of the most sought-after software updates of 2025. Although the Galaxy S25 devices have had this update from their launch, it’s taken several months for it to start appearing on older devices. While some users may feel disappointed with the initial rollout, it appears that the process will accelerate beyond earlier expectations.

Recent reports from Sammy Fans indicate that Samsung Vietnam has published a schedule outlining when the One UI 7 update will be available for additional devices. Although these dates pertain specifically to Vietnam, they suggest that the timeline for other regions, including the US, could be quite similar, which offers a bit of hope for eager Samsung enthusiasts. The update is set to begin its rollout next week, starting with the Galaxy S24 and S23 series as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6.

Additionally, owners of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 will also receive the update. On April 23, Galaxy S24 FE users can expect the update, followed by those with Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy S21 series, and Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 devices on April 24. The Galaxy S22 series, along with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3, will see the update on April 28.

Overall, it looks like One UI 7 will experience a broad rollout throughout April, which should please many device owners. However, the actual timing may vary by region, depending on Samsung’s plans. Despite initial delays, there’s speculation that Samsung could make amends by launching One UI 8 earlier than expected.

Early rumors suggest that this next update might debut as soon as this summer, coinciding with the release of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. More information is anticipated as the release date approaches.
