Introducing the World’s First Color E-Reader That Folds Like a Real Book!

The Mooink V is set to make history as the world’s first folding E Ink device with a color screen. After nine years of development, this innovative product has been created in collaboration with E Ink, ensuring that it can withstand over 200,000 folds.

The device features a lightweight aluminum/magnesium alloy body, making it convenient for users. Bendable E Ink screens have been available for a while, allowing DIY enthusiasts to create their own devices.

However, consumer-ready folding E Ink products have not been prevalent until now. The development of the Mooink V signals a significant advancement in e-reader technology, combining versatility with modern design.

Readmoo recently announced the Mooink V at the Touch Taiwan event. This folding E Ink device showcases a Gallery 3 color e-paper screen with an impressive resolution of 300 PPI, offering support for up to 50,000 colors.

The E Ink screens utilized in this device have undergone extensive testing and optimization to ensure reliability during frequent folding. Given E Ink’s history of customizing screens for various partners, the dedication to quality in the Mooink V is not surprising.

The device is specifically designed to enhance the reading experience, mirroring that of traditional books. Users can fold the screen flat for optimal use in landscape or portrait formats.

Furthermore, they can bend one side of the screen at a 90-degree angle, mimicking the feel of holding a conventional book. As the launch date nears, Readmoo will showcase the Mooink V at Display Week in San Jose, California, from May 11th to 16th.

This highly anticipated device has already generated excitement, and we hope to hear more about its release in the U.S. soon. The Mooink V represents a significant milestone in E Ink technology, making it one of the most intriguing devices to enter the market in recent years.
